Artist of the Week: Mattias Hellberg & The White Moose

As we move into December, it is hard not to get bogged down by the extra things added to the ‘to do’ list.  However, when it’s time to let loose, Vapor recommends turning to Mattias Hellberg & The White Moose for the perfect early-winter soundtrack.  This Swedish rocker is no stranger to the dark days of the season, using experimental and psychadelic rock to electrify the spirits of all who listen.

Sounds Like:
“Tripped-out, sitar drenched psych rock jams reminiscent of early Funkadelic, Captain Beefheart, Allman Brothers and 13th Floor Elevators.”
– Stickman Records

Similar to: At times…Sam Roberts, Franz Ferdinand, and ’60s experimental rock.

“Nothing swings quite like rock that sounds like it’s being written as you listen, music that sounds completely spontaneous and unplanned, and that’s something Mr. Hellberg does effortlessly.”

“It’s psychedelic, it’s weird and it’s pretty one of a kind.”
